Who are Dance Fusion?
We are two best friends who met at primary school and went through secondary school together too, dancing and performing as a hobby most nights and all weekends!
Kerry Moore went to Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama (M.A.D.D) and completed a 3yr Musical Theatre Diploma, as well as gaining her teaching qualifications with the I.D.T.A. She then moved to London pursuing a career in performing and has worked as a dancer in London theatres including Leicester Square Theatre in London's West End, she has played a princess in Pantomime and has also done a U.K tour as leading female in a production of High Schools Hits, to name a few amongst other professional concerts and open air theatre. Kerry also worked as a make up artist and beauty consultant in Harrods in between performing jobs and decided to move back to Nottingham in the Summer of 2009 to fulfil an ambition to teach and share her love of performing.
Meanwhile, Claire also went to M.A.D.D and gained her teaching qualifications with the I.D.T.A and set up a street dance class In Calverton for a few of the local girls. The class really expanded as the word spread, and became a roaring success! Claire also does a lot of freelance teaching around Nottinghamshire. Claire's real passion has always been for dance of all styles and she loves passing on her expertise to others who also love to dance and perform. Claire has danced from the age of 3 and and has danced in many productions including West Side Story.
So Claire had a class in Calverton and Kerry started up a class in Woodborough. Both classes became a great success and the girls recognised a demand for more lessons in these areas in all different styles of dance, and this is where Dance Fusion began!!! They decided to team or 'fuse' together their knowledge and expertise in different styles of dance and performing and started more classes in Calverton, gaining more students all the time, as well as fulfilling their childhood dream of working together one day!
They do a lot of work with Dance Fusion within the Calverton community including performances at the Calverton Get together, performing at and doing workshops around local schools, for local charities and teach for Sainsburys Active Kids.
